Project Description

First-Ever Automotive Heritage Event at the National Mall in D.C.

Centigrade supported The Historic Vehicle Association (HVA) at the first-ever automotive heritage event at the National Mall in Washington, D.C.

Cars at the Capital featured a presentation of the 1964 Meyers Manx “Old Red” that recognized the vehicle as the next automobile to be recorded under the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Heritage Documentation. The documentation will be part of the HVA’s National Historic Vehicle Register and the Historic American Engineering Record (HAER) that is permanently archived in the Library of Congress.

In addition, the HVA exhibited 10 automobiles that are eligible and beginning the process of being documented for the HAER program. Special exhibits, educational displays, guided tours and the opportunity to speak with the stewards of these significant historic vehicles were available to all that attended the event.

Centigrade assisted with public relations support, logo development, creative design and onsite event support.
