Supporting the Preservation and Celebration of National Automotive Heritage
The Historic Vehicle Association (HVA) has retained Centigrade to assist in the promotion and brand awareness of its organization with the intent to create a national agenda for automotive heritage. The public relations campaign will focus on attracting automotive OEMs, industry, government agencies, museums, universities, authors, historians, clubs, event organizers, restorers, key collectors and the media to develop automotive heritage initiatives.
“We’re excited to partner with Centigrade as we collaborate to develop the framework for a National Historic Vehicle Register,” said Mark Gessler, President of Historic Vehicle Association. “Centigrade has strong media ties, a deep understanding of the collector, vintage and heritage car world as well as established relationships within the automotive Concours community.”
In March 2013, the HVA initiated collaboration with the U.S. Department of the Interior with the intent to establish a National Historic Vehicle Register. The focus of the initial project is documentation of the 1964 Shelby Daytona Coupe (CSX 2278) for inclusion in the permanent archives of the U.S. Library of Congress.
“Centigrade is honored to be actively engaged in promoting the historical and cultural significance of the automobile and working with the HVA in the establishment of a National Historic Vehicle Register,” said Julie Barnard, President of Centigrade Americas.
